In the middle of a break, Ray plays a careless croquet stroke and ends up in a position where the peg prevents him roquetting his partner ball. Having seen snooker players swerve a ball by imparting spin, he decides to attempt this himself by using the bevel edge of his mallet. Is this permitted?
