Your local club probably offers coaching for beginners, and possibly more.
The CA runs courses for both beginners and improvers. The beginners' course covers the basic shots, the rules and commonly used tactics. The improvers' course extends the repertoire to more advanced shots and tactics, together with the various possible faults and the appropriate use of extra strokes in handicap games.
Books on Golf Croquet are available from the CA Shop.
The CA Bursary Scheme supports aspiring international players to go to the right tournaments, etc.
For more information contact the CA Office or your local club or Federation
The CA runs Coach Training Courses (CTC) for those wishing to learn the fundamentals of coaching and to become qualified to teach in their own club.
A further qualification to coach Golf Croquet more widely can be obtained after being assessed whilst coaching and also demonstrating a good working knowledge of the laws.
The recipients of the awards can be seen on the relevant history page: Most Improved Players.
Each year the CA recognises one coach who has, in the opinion of the coaching committee, provided outstanding service to croquet. This award is called 'Coach of the Year'. Please pass nominations to the chairman of the CA Coaching Committee. Previous winners can be seen in the history section Coach of the Year.
