CORRECTIONS AND ADDITIONS TO THE FIXTURES CALENDAR

Since the Fixtures Calendar was distributed a number of further errors have come to light:
  1. Page 85 The dates of the Southport Handicap Weekend are 29-31 May. (The dates appear correctly on pages 3 and 9)
  2. Pages 4 & 8 The Colchester heats of the English National Golf Croquet Championships will be held on 5-6 June as stated on page 48.
  3. There will be a Golf Croquet Coaching Course at Blewbury on July 4, Details as under:

NEW GOLF CROQUET COMPETITIONS

The CA is introducing two golf croquet competitions to encourage beginners and intermediate players. Both are continuing the tournaments organised by Syd Jones over the last four years. Clubs are urged to encourage a group entry for either the Grass Roots competition (minimum 8 players) for absolute beginners where they play their early rounds as doubles or Centre Stage (minimum 4 players), a singles competition. Look out for the flyers with more details, or look in the Fixtures Calendar.

APPS AND STEEL MEMORIAL BOWLS

There is still time (just) to submit nominations for the most improved male and female players in 2003. Nominations should be accompanied by a brief resumé of the candidate’s achievements during the season, and a copy of the handicap card.
