GOLF CROQUET HANDICAPS 

The CA database is now able to note your Golf Croquet handicap so please take any opportunity to update me, by email or via Tournament Managers.

INTER CLUB COMPETITIONS

How about entering some inter club tournaments next season? It is good to go and take a look at another club and play against other croquet players.     

CA AWARDS

Please take a look in the recently arrived CA Clubs Handbook for details of nominations for a range of awards (playing and non-playing) and let me have your nominations as soon as possible. 

INTER –CLUB COMPETITION (contacts)

Please let your club/membership secretary know if you change your telephone/email contact details in order that the details later issued to the CA are correct.  

CHILD PROTECTION

The CA will no longer be a Registered Body for criminal records checks. Any checks will now have to go to an Umbrella Organisation (UO) approved by CRB. I will let you know when we have a definitive list of UOs but there is nothing to stop you approaching UOs directly if you wish. Meanwhile please follow the recommendations in the policy documents previously issued.

CIVIL LIABILITY INSURANCE 

I have changed the Underwriter and Broker – the details are with your club Secretary – I would be interested in any feed back from the new insurers, if you make use of them for your own club needs. It might help me to keep cost down next year.

GOLF CROQUET COACHING

There are still some vacancies on this course, which is being held at Edgbaston on the 8th and 9th July – see Fixture Calendar in your clubhouse for details.  

ALAN OLDHAM

I am sure that there will be appropriate tributes on the sad loss of Alan in the Gazette, but I would like to take the opportunity of thanking him for sharing his considerable knowledge of the CA with me.
