The World Croquet Federation have today (1st January 2005) launched the latest version of their website.

Packed full of background and contact information for the sport around the world, it provides a springboard for players of all standards to explore the inner workings of the Federation, its aims and objectives.

New features include:-

  • a World Wide Tournament Calendar incorporating all the main events of member nations;
  • a more comprehensive "Roll of Honour" with links to results of matches played;
  • a direct link to the online "Rankings" system for Association and Golf Croquet;
  • a direct link to the online versions of WCF recognised "Rules of the Game" for the variations of the sport, with a synopsis in Spanish and German;
  • full initial details of the "Mitsubishi 2005 World Croquet Championship";
  • the commencement of a database collection of "Croquet Hotels";

WCF Secretary-General, Brian Storey said "The launch of this new look WCF site is meant to complement croquet web-sites around the world, especially those of member nations. Of particular interest to all players is the introduction of a world-wide list of "Croquet Hotels". This will enable anyone who has experienced such places to let the WCF know what they thought for possible inclusion in the WCF database. All contributions will be kept confidential. It is expected that two further phases of web site development will take place during 2005 including more and more multi-media content."
