Learn to play Golf Croquet like the Experts

6th April 2007 (GC)

Khaled Younis, three times Golf Croquet World Champion, is ready to give something back to Ripon Croquet Club and its supporters. He has been a regular player in the Yorkshire Open there since it started twelve years ago and is the current titleholder. He is a Physical Education teacher and sports coach by profession and coaches many of the top Egyptians, both men and women.

Whilst playing at Ripon last September, he was very generous of his time and expertise, answering questions from players and spectators and helping them with their croquet problems.

From this, an idea grew and after discussions and correspondence (thank goodness for emails!), arrangements have been made for him to offer coaching at beginner, intermediate and advanced level.

He will be at Ripon Spa Hotel Croquet Club from Thursday 14th June to Sunday 17th June 2007 and anyone interested in receiving top class coaching in Golf Croquet can contact the hotel to book a place for one or more days. Accommodation can be provided if required. If you would like more details about the coaching, phone Freda Vitty on 01388 720074 or email frevit#tesco.net

The South of England will not lose out!

Following the days at Ripon, Khaled will travel to Roehampton, where he will do four half days sessions on Tuesday 19th June and Wednesday 20th June. An exhibition match between Khaled and Reg Bamford is also arranged.

Cost will be £40 for a full day at Ripon, to include hot lunch and morning and afternoon tea/coffee.
At Roehampton, the cost will be £30 per session. Contact David Openshaw for Roehampton details or see item on WCF website.
