WCF World Golf Croquet Championships Wild Cards & Qualifying Event announced

Wild Cards

In the last 24 hours the Member Associations of the WCF have been notified that the following additional wild cards have been allocated: Mohammad Nasr, Sherif Nafaa, Sherif Abou Osbaa, Hisham Abdel Gawad (Egypt), Roy Ware and Tom Weston(England), Marion Hof (Germany), Elda Cairoli (Italy), David Underhill (Switzerland), Bill Berne, Bill Mead , David Bent and John Osborn (USA).

Qualifying Tournament

Entries are solicited for the qualifying tournament which will be held at the National Croquet Centre, 700 Florida Mango Road, West Palm Beach, Florida 33406, USA on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 7, 8 and 9 February 2002. It will be completed by noon on Saturday 9 Feb and the Opening Ceremony of the Championships will commence at 2:00PM on that day, followed by the Players Briefing at 5:00PM.

Four places are available in the Championships for the leading four players in this qualifying event.

Entries should be sent to the USCA accompanied by a draft or cheque payable to the USCA for $US90 entry fee, including lunch.

The format of the qualifying tournament will depend on the number of entries.
