Hunstanton's GC Open A-Level Tournament

[<<] [>>] by David Boxell at Hunstanton [^] -> bottom
22nd July (GC)

This year's Hampson Salver was contested by 10 players in an all play all format, with 45 * 13 point games. 5 rounds were played on Saturday and the remaining 4 rounds on Sunday. The two days saw some very fine croquet with some games decided by the finest of margins.

John Noble won Hunstanton's GC Open A-Level Tournament for the third year in a row with 8 wins and secured the Salver.

Christine Wood was runner up with 7 wins and was presented with the Plate. The overall position for each of the 10 players is given below.

My thanks to everyone who played and assisted over the course of the week-end, including Susan Boxell who took charge of the scores and time-keeping, while I played.
