If you are new to the CA, it may be because you have joined as a Premium Member, or because you have indicated to your club that you would like to become a Standard Member through them.
As a Member, you can access the members-only part of the website, by logging in. If you haven't yet established a login password, full instructions are below.
In the Members' Area, you can access the directory of members. You might like to try finding your own details, and make sure they say what you would expect - there's an edit button on your details tab. You can also introduce yourself to others by setting up a personal profile.
You can also read both the current and past editions of the Croquet Gazette online. As a Member, you will also get your own copy through the post unless you specifically tell us you don't want it.
You can also enter tournaments if you want to try competitive play. Premium Members get priority entry into them, as well as a discount on the entry fees, so if you are interested in playing in several of these you'll be better off becoming a Premium Member (in your details, view your CA membership in your Memberships tab).
The CA does many things to help support ordinary club play, as well as helping to organise the tournament scene. We:
Read more about us and what we do in the Croquet Gazette!
If you wish to support the Croquet Association in the ongoing development of the game we love, you could become a Supporter Member. Full details are on the Join the CA page.
To log in, you will need your registered email address and a password. If more than one of you share an email address, the system distinguishes between you by the password you use.
If you are a new Standard Member you will already have an account set up by your club secretary, but your password will not yet be set. Click the Log In button (at the top of every page) and select 'Set a new password' then follow the instructions.
If the system does not recognise your email address, then check with your club secretary to make sure they have provided The CA with your details.
New Standard Members receive a free paper copy of the Croquet Gazette for their first full year of membership. If you do not want your Croquet Gazette, you have the option to decline it by 'going paperless'. This may be the case where your household already gets a copy, or if you would prefer to read it online. We want to encourage everyone to get the paper copy so that friends and family can also read about croquet, so please only take this option if you are sure.
To go paperless, log in and go to the Members' Area, select CA Directory, then click 'My Details'. Go to your Memberships tab and click to view your CA subscription - then click Change Membership or Options.
You will no longer receive the paper gazette, but you can still access the latest Gazette online (after logging in). You can receive an email with a quick link whenever a new copy of the Gazette comes out, unless you unsubscribe to these emails by clicking the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of an alert email. You can opt back into getting alerts again at any time by selecting the option on your details page.
If you have gone paperless and decide you want the paper copy after all, then please contact the CA office who will discuss the options with you.
After your first year, to receive the Gazette you need to be a pay-direct Member (Premium, Supporter, etc.) - full details are on the Join the CA page.
