Commentary on Landrebe & Beard (Aus) v Skinley & Wright (NZ)

A few technical problems meant that I missed the start of the Wright/Skinley vs Landrebe/Beard.  Apparently, some sort of duffer tice opening, from which Michael Wright got the ball round.  He's just finished with an NSL, and Landrebe is taking the long lift down the east boundary.

Looks like a miss from Landrebe - Skinley has just taken the rush towards Blue near Hoop 2.  Black sits in Corner 4, and Paul is at Hoop 1 with Blue.  A chance for the Kiwis to take two of the three openers.

A clinical finish from Paul Skinley, with the second +26tp in quick succession.  It looks like it's New Zealand's day.

Corner two opening, and Beard (Yellow) hits the Blue and Black double by Hoop 4.  He's off and running, before the first error of the day - a failure at Hoop 3.  Michael Wright is in with Blue, and taking a rush to Hoop 1.  Yellow very close to Hoop 2, and Black somewhere on the East boundary.  It all looks healthy for a clip on 4-back.

Greg Fletcher and Paul Rigge are up on Lawn 2, teaching the guys from BBC Radio Mancester how to play.  Very odd - we can hear them on the radio about a second after they play the shots.

Same again from Wright - NSL, with Red on the wire of Hoop 4, and Yellow just off the West boundary.

That's Skinley and Wright finished for the day, with a +26TP(S), +24TP(S). One match to nil for the All Blacks.
