All ready for the new test.  Lawns I'm told are about 11 sec, was sunny a few minutes ago, but the clouds have come over now.  Showers are forecast.  We are just getting ready to start.

Bryant plays K to 1 yd due W of rover.

Lamm shoots at K from C1 with R.  It goes level with peg on line between h3 and h4.

Clarke shoots from C1, hits R.  Starts on 3-ball break.

Poor approach to H2, and she bounces off it to 6" to the side.  R is directly behind the hoop, 7 yd shot.

Y misses R to 5 yds S of C2.

U hits R, sends it to H3 getting no rush on K.  Rolls K behind H2 going to Y.  Sends Y to H4, gets 2 yd h2.  Runs it.  She has a break now.

U has a controlled break, has just made 1b, and is leaving R just off the hoop.

Clarke has MSL leave, Y on 3b, U/K at max length position.

Y shoots from C3 and misses into C4

Bryant is on 3-ball break, just approaching H2.  Y is still in C4.

Bryant rushes U to 2 ft in front of 4b after making H2.  Takes off to make hoop of R.  Peels U after the hoop, getting rush on R which goes 2 yds W of H4.  Y is still in C4.  Takes off to H4, and runs by 2 yds.  Shoots at Y, hits centre-ball.

Y is sent to just S of H6, gets rush on R to H5.

Makes H5 with no useful rush.  Rolls R to just off N boundary in front of 1b, gets 4 yd rush on U, which he cuts to 3 yds W of H3.  Rolls it past the peel line going to Y.

Tries to cannon U with his approach shot to H6, with limited effect.  Runs H6 and tries peel from 1.5yds NW of hoop.  Bounces off outside of hoop.

Rushes Y to behind 4b, and splits to 2b.  Hits R, and is approaching from 7 yds.  Approaches well and runs.

Sends R well to 3b, and gets rush on U which he rushes 2" through H6.  Too close for the death peel, so takes off to Y at 2b.

Rushes Y to 4 yds E of H6, and takes off for a rush peel on U, which goes peg high.  Rolls it to 7 yds past rover, going to 3b.

K is now making 4b, with U put back to 1 yd in front of rover, and R wide of the peg.  He rushes Y directly to penult after 4b, and makes the hoop without going to the other 2 balls.  Runs to just past the peg, and hits R.

Tries to peel U from 2 ft in front, maybe slightly more.  Doesn't do it irish, and U sticks in the hoop with K close behind.  Tries to jump, but peels U and leaves K in the jaws.  R and Y are both close behind the hoop - its the classic 4 balls at rover leave.

R (Jeff) plays, with easy break opportunity.  Opts to rush peel K to U before making H1.

My mistake, its Lamm playing this break.  He is now approaching H4 with all the balls.

Lamm has made 1b, and left K in max length position 1 yd off W boundary.  NSL coming up.

Lamm completes NSL leave, U on 3b. 

Jenny lifts U and shoots at Y from just out of C3.  Misses to C4.

Y rushes R 7 yds N of K.  Gets it out to H2 with a poor rush on K pointing well W.  Cuts it to 3 yds out of C1 on line to H1.

Jeff misapproaches H1, and Y retires to N boundary behind R.

K shoots at U.  Misses.

Y hits R, rushing to midway between H1 and H2.  Takes off to U/K which are corner balls in contact.  Asks for a measure to check their positions before roqueting.

Jeff gets his cannon in C4.  Plays a wafer, getting K 7 yds out of corner, and sending U 3 yds past H1.  Gets 2 ft hoop position and runs well through.  5 yd return roquet is hit.

Sends U to 4 yds S of H3, fails to get rush on K.  Takes off to R getting 2 yd rush towards H2.  Rushes to 3 yds from hoop.  Approaches well and runs.

Jeff has put R to H4, so any tp will be delayed.  Has U/K at H3 and is taking off for the hoop from 2 ft behind.  Makes hoop.

U is left at 4b as he rushes K wide of R.

Y only claws its way 6" through H6.  Snicks K 3 yds N.  U and R are waiting at 4b.  Jeff asks for H5 to be checked - its OK.

K is rolled to 1b, gets awkward rush on R which he snicks the wrong way.  Jawses it from about 45%.  Makes H6, and rush-peels R.

Sends R 4 yds past 2b towards C1.  U is about 4 yds out on the other side.

Rolls K to 3b after 1b, getting cut-rush on U towards R, which he misses into baulk.

U has an easy finish.

Clarke/Bryant win +9

They keep the same colours.  Lamm sends SS ball 3 yds SSW of peg.

K goes to just out of C2.

Y shoots at K, misses.  Looks like they are touching or very close.

U shoots at K/Y and misses.

Jeff plays Y and gets a cannon in C2.  Sends K behind H2 as he rushes U to peg.  Takes off and rushes R to H1.

Y runs H1 by 2".  he is fortunate to have R to the side.  He sends R to H3 and rushes U to N boundary near K.  Should have a break from here.

Jeff has just made 2b, and has put R and K at the peg as he makes 3b off U.

U has gone a bit short - maybe 6 yds off W boundary, just N of peg high.  K is close on the peg and R/Y lay up close to max length position on E boundary.

Jenny lifts U and shoots from just out of C3.  Misses narrowly into C4.

R plays, and sends Y 7 yds short of H2, and rushes K 3 yds short of H1.  Takes off and makes H1.  Gets rush on K pointing at C4.  Rushes to 2 yds out of C4 on line to H4.  Takes off to U in corner, but fails to get rush.  Plays Hogan roll.  U goes to H3 well.  Has a long rush on Y to H2 - maybe 4 yds.  Takes it well.

Makes H2, takes rush on Y to H4.  Leaves Y there as he rushes K to mid E boundary, and rolls it behind H3.  Makes H3 off U.

Leaves K at 4b, rushes U back to Y.

Gets good rush on Y after the hoop.  Asks about releif from holes in the lawn, but is refused - not special damage.  Takes the rush to 2 ft E of 4b.  Leaves Y and K there for the delayed peel as he goes to U at h5.

Peels Y after H5 with rush on K to H6.  Cuts the rush to 3 yds away from the hoop.  Gets reasonable approach, hoop slightly angled and about 2ft.  Clangs the hoop.

K hits the short shot at R.  Takes off to Y behind 4b, gets 5 yd rush back towards U.  Misses Y, but hits U!!

Rolls U over in front of H3, gets 4 yd rush on Y this time.  Rushes it into C2.  Plays big roll to H1, goes 1 yd short of hoop.  Leaves Y at H1 and returns to N boundary by U.

R takes aggressive shot at U.  Misses into C3.

U takes 5 yd shot at R.  Hits.

Sends R to H2 and runs into K.  Takes off to Y at H1, and hits the peg solidly, leaving 9 yd shot on Y which is missed to 2 yds N of C1.

Y shoots at R.  Hits, sending it to mid N boundary.  Takes off to K, moving R in 1 yd.  Rushes K to penult, but over-cuts it, ending 6 yds E of penult. 

Plays approach to penult, sending K to peg.  Good shot.  Runs penult to peg, may be hampered on shot a K.  No, rushes K back towards R, but it cuts to H3.  Takes off getting rush on R to U.  Goes off 1 ft S of U.

Manages to rush U into H1.  Sends it to 2 yds SE of H4 on approach to rover.   Gets 45% 1 yd hoop which he declines.

Y returns to W boundary, 1 yd N of R.

They break for lunch.

K shoots at U, misses to S boundary.

R hits Y, takes off to K.  Sends it to H5 with rush on U to H6.

Sorry, battery problems there, had the put laptop on charge for a while.

R establishes break.  He has Y and K close to rover as he makes 2b off U.  U goes 7 yds S of 4b as he goes to Y.  Peels with rush to 3b.

Finishes to win +26tp and level the match.

Y shoots at K!!  Misses to mid N boundary.

U cuts R to just past H3.  Rolls to H2 going to Y, and takes off to K.  Gets rush to SSE.  Cuts to 3 yds E of H1.  Poor approach leaves an angled 45 deg hoop, perhaps 2 ft.  Rejects to W boundary.

R shoots at Y, misses to 1 yd from it on N boundary.

U shoots at K, 8/9 yds.  Hits, rushing it to H6.  Rolls K to H2 going to Y.  Gets rush on R which goes to the boundary in front of H1.  Approaches to have 2 yd hoop, runs.  She has a 5/6 yd return roquet which she hits.  She now has a break.

Has NSL, R 2 yds off W boundary in max length position, Y on 3b.

Update - there was no TP in the second game.

R is lifted, shoots from A baulk , hits K centre-ball.  Posts it out well, and rushes U to C4.  Sends it to good position at H2, and gets good rush on Y to H1.  Rushes to 5 yds past hoop.  Runs H1 by 2", and has a hampered shot at Y.  Hits.  Rolls Y to H4, with a rush N on K.  Rushes to H3, and has a break.

Finishes with what was going to be a spread, K on W boundary, U on the peg.  He then leaves Y 2 yds N of C4, and sends R to 1 yd S of C2.  U must be open on K.

K shoots at R from B Baulk.  Hits.  Sends R to behind H1, Rushes U to H1, goes 4 yds past.  Plays stop approach, sending U only 7 yds behind hoop.  Gets rush after hoop on R which he takes to 3 yds out of C4 towards H4.  Takes off and gets close rush N on Y.  Rushes to 5 yds E of H6, takes off to U.  Gets a long hoop 2, and a rush to Y/R afterwards.  Takes rush to S of Y, and posts it to 3 yds in front of 4b, with a rush on Y.  Makes H3 and has a 3 yd peel attempt.  Jawses.  Gets rush to S boundary behind H4.  Takes off to R and gets good rush to the side of H4.  Sends R to H5 with good hoop position.

Runs hoop and gets rush on Y to C3.  Sends Y to H6, and rush-peels.  Takes off to H5.  Gets a good forward rush after the hoop which goes to E boundary opposite H3.  R is sent to 1b, with a good rush to U to behind H6.  Standard tp from here.

Peels penult after H6.  Gets U 1 yd in front of rover going to 2b.  Plays a good stroke after 2b, getting a good 4b pioneer and a rush on U which goes 1 ft in front of rover.  Peel attempt bounces off rover but stays 1 ft in front.
