The last day, and with the test already won for NZ, this is largely about team pride, especially for the Americans.  There seems to be some confusion over the start time, I think its flexible today.  The teams have just started their warm-up.

There has been a light drizzle this morning, and the sky is now overcast but the drizzle has stopped for the moment.

Bast plays K to supershot position, 1 yd N of rover.

Skinley plays Y and shoots from C1.

Misses to just past the peg.

Huneycutt Plays U and shoots at the double from C1.  Hits Y - it only just made it that far.

He makes H1 with no rush.  Y is 3 yds NW of the peg.  Plays the roll a little short, has an angled rush to H2 which goes 6 yds E of the hoop.  A good approach and he runs, hitting Y on the hoop stroke.  K is 9 yds SW of H3.  Plays a good roll and has a 3 yd rush to H3.  Plays it well.

Makes H3 by nothing, and has a hampered stroke st K.  Hits.  He has his break now.

Huneycutt goes to 4b.  Lays a spread with K having a rush on Y on E boundary and U 3 yds off W boundary.  K is only about 9 yds N of C4.

R shoots from B baulk.  Misses to C4.

K picks up the 3-ball break well.  R is still in C4 as he makes H1.

Makes H1 and rushes to 3 yds N of H4.  Takes off to R.  Plays a hogan roll.  K just misses the peg, and goes 2 yds past Y at H2.  R goes nicely to H3.

Nearly sticks in H2, but it just claws its way through.  He has a hampered shot at Y.  Some discussion with partner.

He sends K into C3.  R is 2 ft SE of H3, U is by H4.

R shoots at Y, by H2.  Hits.

Takes off to U leaving Y 5 yds SW of H2.  Gets no rush.  Sends U to just off S boundary behind H4, and rolls to H1.  R ends 2" dead in front.

Makes the hoop but has no rush.  Sends U to 8 yds SW of H3, and hits Y.  Approaches H2 from the N boundary.  Gets a long hoop and fails it, bouncing 3 yds to W of H2.

K shoots at U, maybe 15 yds.  Misses to 2 yds N of C1.

R hits Y.

Rolls Y to H3, gets a rush on U pointing S.  Cuts it to mid S boundary.

Sends U to 5 yds S of H2, and gets no rush on K.  I'd have thought a take off to try to get the rush might have been better.  Sends K to 4 yds off mid S boundary, returning to Y.  Scatters Y to N boundary 3 yds out of C3, R goes 3 yds NE of H3.

Rushes R to penult after 2b, but it goes too long.  Sets up R and U before going to K at 3b.

U shoots at R.  Misses.

R hits U, sends it to H3.  Gets a cut-rush on Y which he sends to 4 yds behind H2.  Takes off and makes the hoop.

Rushes Y to S boundary after H2.  Sends it to H4 getting a rush on K to behind H3.  He has his break now.  Declines the tpo.

Wright goes to 4b, and finishes with aa attempted spread.  K is positioned at the peg before making 3b.  U is 5 yds off W boundary, and he runs into Y when positioning it, so has to ignore K and sends Y to E boundary, but it goes off.  R is left 2.5 yds from K at the peg.  K is hampered from R.

K takes the hampered shot, hits R.  Takes off to U and rushes it to 3 yds S of Y.

Gets U to H3 and makes H4 off R.  Y is by H5.  Gets no rush out of H4 and sends it short of 4b going to Y.

Makes H5, and sends Y behind H6 going to peelee (U), but runs into it.  He positions U at 4b and rushes R to H6.

Makes H6 with control and rushes R to C3.  Sends R to 2b, and tries peel on U going to Y.  It bounces onto a wire.  He has a long rush on Y which he takes well to 1b.

Sends Y into the jaws of 3b after making 1b, going to U.  Bounces U onto the other wire, and takes off to R at 2b leaving U in front of 4b.

Gets no rush out of 2b.  Sends R to 4b getting a good position on Y behind 3b.  Makes 3b with forward rush.

Sets up for a straight tp.  Irish peels 4b, but only just runs with K and has to hit U after the hoop.

Goes to peg, and puts R on the back of rover.  Rushes U to E boundary max distance, and takes off to Y.  Sends it to 5 yds off W boundary almost level with the peg.  Y to R looks a little short, but he only has half of R to aim at.  Returns to U.

Wright lifts R and shoots st U from B baulk.  Misses by nothing into C4.

U rushes K well S of Y, and splits it back 7 yds WnW of rover, getting rush to penult.

Danny sticks in penult from right in front.

Y hits U and gets it to H2 with a rush on K to H1.  Poor rush goes 3 yds ENE of the hoop.  Approaches to 1 yd in front and runs with control.  Forward rush towards U.  R is still in C4.

Makes H3 with a forward rush to C4.  Takes to 2 ft out of corner on S boundary.  U is close by H4, R in C4.

Stops K to behind H4, hits R.  Sends R to H5.  Thought it might have gone to 4b there.

Skinley sends K to 4b after H4, but it goes a bit short.  U goes to H6.  Tries for his forward rush out of H5, but runs too gently and has no shot on R.  Shoots instead at K, misses and hits H3 ending short of the N boundary.

U hits K, sending it to E boundary.  Takes off to get rush on R to penult.  Gets cut rush, and takes it most of the way to the middle of the N boundary.  Takes off for rush on Y and gets it.

Makes penult, and rushes Y back to N boundary, then sends it out towards H2,  Rushes R to K, and K to rover.  Makes rover with a 2 yd rush back to peg.

Finishes to win +12

They keep the same colours.

Skinley sends Y to E boundary.

U goes to mid E boundary, 9 yds N of Y.

R shoots at the double.  Misses badly, goes out 1 yd N of Y.

K shoots from B baulk at the triple, misses to 6" out of C4 on S boundary.

R rushes Y to C4, goes out 1 ft N of corner.  Takes off for rush to H1 on K.

R sticks in H1.  K hits and makes the hoop.  Rushes to N boundary 2 yds off the end of A baulk, takes off to Y but too short for a rush.  Sends Y to 2 yds off E boundary, just N of the midway point.  Gets rush on U N.  Rushes to boundary in front of H3 and rolls to H2, getting a 3 yd hoop which he fails.

R shoots at Y.  Misses to 6 yds S of C3.

K hits U.

K takes off to R.  Splits R to H3 with a rush on Y to H2, which he takes well.  Runs H2 to U.  Should have his break from here.

Bast goes to 4b with a spread.  R is 3 yds off W boundary, Y is at the peg.

Wright lifts R and shoots from A baulk.  Misses.

U sends R to H4 with a rush to Y.  Gets K well to H2 with a rush on Y.  Makes H1.

Gets a rush on K after H1 to 4 yds W of 4b.  Sends it nicely in front.  Looks like a standard tp from here.

K is jawsed after H3.

He rush-peels after H4, and takes off to H5.

He gets a rush to the E boundary after making H5, level with H6.  Sends Y to behind H6 and gets a rush which he takes to 5 yds E of H6.  Rolls it in front of penult well.  Gets a bit of angle on his approach to H6, and runs a little long, but plays the return roquet well. Peels penult from 1 ft in front.

He hits Y and sends it to 2b with a cut rush on R to 1b.  Plays it well.

Sends K as his 3b pioneer after sending R short.

Gets a rush to rover after 3b.  Gets K 1 yd in front.  Peel fails, but K stays just in front of the jaws.
