The CA Shop offers for auction the croquet set that ex-world champion Reg Bamford used at the North Pole during his recent expedition. Any profits made from the auction will go to Reg's charity.
The set is a Riley Cookham set. It contains very lightweight mallets and balls, and thin-wire hoops. These are usually sold as children's sets because of the light weight, although the mallets are 36" long. A fuller description of the type of set can be found by following the link below. The set has only been used once, at the pole, and is in good condition.
If you would like to bid for the set, please send me an email with your offer. I will assume any price bid must include the delivery cost, and will weight the bids accordingly (i.e. it will take a higher bid to win from the USA rather than the UK, due to higher shipping costs). I will notify all serious bidders with the leading bid as the auction progresses, so that you can amend your offer if you wish. Bids should be no lower than £50, please.
