The World Croquet Federation (WCF) announced today, that Gordon Smith (NZ) has agreed to chair the WCF Golf Croquet Rules Committee. The Committee will finalise the draft Rules, which were used at the World Championships at Southwick.
The new Rules and Regulations are expected to be announced in mid January 2005, in time for the start of the European playing season. The WCF 1st Women's World Golf Croquet Championship, taking place in Cairo in November 2005, will be played in accordance with them.
The WCF give many thanks to Tony Hall (immediate past President) who is stepping down as chairman. Tony has put an amazing amount of work into the development of the Rules of Golf Croquet over the last six years. Without his enthusiasm, the WCF would not have been able to hold so many successful World Championships, which of course do need an agreed set of rules.
