Ramsgate Croquet Club announces its International Golf Croquet Weekend

Ramsgate Croquet Club, Westcliff Lawns, Royal Esplanade, Ramsgate, Kent. is once again holding its popular International Golf Croquet Weekend on the 4th and 5th June 2005. The event has always attracted some of the top UK players as well as a strong field from overseas, with representation in past years from as far as Australia, South Africa and The United States as well as a strong European contingent, with Robert Fulford, Derek Old and Red Bamford being previous winners. The 2003 final being hard fought between Reg Bamford and Khalid Younis.

Entries are now being accepted and we would advise early registration as in the past the event has been oversubscribed. Entries will have to be restricted to the lowest 20 handicap players applying. The Entry fee is £15 and food is available at £7.50 per day, Games will be played to WCF rules in blocks on Saturday, with those eliminated going into a consolation doubles to be played on Sunday along with the finals. Ramsgate Croquet Club will also be holding its normal Association Tournaments;- May Bank Holiday weekend 30/04/05-03/05/05 Advanced Singles or Handicap Singles. Handicap Singles Weekend 02/07/05-03/07/05. Handicap Doubles Weekend 06/08/05-07/08/05. B Level Advanced Weekend 10/09/05-11/09/05. Contact Ron Welch as above
