Chris Clarke won Colchester open weekend. After Saturday six players had one loss, the five stars Fulford, Kirby, Gibbons, Avery, Clarke and one outsider Patel who had beaten Fulford. Clarke won all 3 of his games on Sunday 26TP to finish the only player still with one loss.

Elsewhere Burridge showed good form finishing the event with an STP against the re-emerging French and then a 5th turn TP against Fulford. Steve Woolnough did enough to earn a cut from 3 to 2.5 and almost beat Avery just losing -2.
