The last ever tournament at Nelson and Colne College was an inspirational CA Calendar Event for Peter Wilson (Fylde) and David Barrett (Bury): They recorded their first triple peels in competitive play, both were truly dramatic feats achieved with breathtaking kamikaze display of positional play, during a weekend in which fast and furious changes of innings; and, single hoop breaks were the norm. Ailsa Lines (Bowdon) played with dogged determination to retain the A Class Event. Graham Brightwell (Surbiton) dominated the B Class Event.
