The 'B' level advanced section attracted 10 entrants and was played as flexible Swiss.
Charles Askew and John Crowe both finished with six wins out of seven games. Charles was declared the winner having won comfortably against John when they met.
Jonathan Wood was third with five wins, pipping Peggy Nutland by having won their game.
The handicap section was disappointingly small with only four entrants after some late attrition, so each player played each of the others twice.
Nigel Parkins and Richard Wood both finished with four wins out of six, and each won once when they met.
Nigel beat Richard to the trophy by virtue of a superior net points count - 30 against 22.
