Croquet was played in glorious sunshine throughout the Championship. The groundsman did a sterling job to produce an even and relatively fast playing surface. Games were closely contested in front of a sizeable crowd. Almost all of the preliminary block stages matches were completed well within the allotted 45 minutes.

Khaled Younis' infinite variety of strokes making dominated the main knockout event and saw him win his fourth title easily. None of his opponents could match his tactics, accurate hoop approaches, consistent hitting out from different lengths and awesome hoop running from varying distances.

The event was sponsored by Ripon Spa Hotel, Harrogate Spa Water and Hotter Shoes.
