Seminars have been arranged to introduce the new laws to referees The following seminars have been arranged to introduce the new laws: they are expected to last about two hours (though that may depend on the number and difficulty of any questions!). Although primarily intended for existing referees, other players with an interest in the laws are welcome to attend if space is available.

Please contact the CA office if you wish to come to one of these, indicating your preference(s). The host clubs for those asterisked hope to provide lunch afterwards, in other cases those attending may wish to continue discussion in a local hostelry.

It is hoped to arrange additional seminars for the North-East/Scotland and Ireland.

Most of the seminars are at croquet clubs. Directions to the two that are not are:

The Black Boy, Guildhall Street, Bury St. Edmunds

There is very limited parking at the pub, so it is suggested that you use the main town car park and walk.

Leave the A14 by the central slip road beside the sugar factory.
Follow road into town going straight over four roundabouts of varying sizes in quick succession, on to a dual carriageway.
Take the outside lane, go right round the next roundabout, then turn left into the large open air or indoor car park.
From the car park, cross the dual carriageway (above ground, not via the tunnel) and walk past the no-entry sign opposite.
Aim for a point to the left and beyond the rectangular building with the high mast on your right.
From Prospect Row (having passed the bottle banks), cross the road ahead and turn into the Waitrose approach through the wall to the left.
In that car park you are aiming for steps in the diagonally opposite corner (away from the shop), which will bring you into the road at the back of the pub.
Cross the road and walk past the tall cream building "The Old Wool Warehouse".
Immediately turn left through small inner and outer car parks (and the old Town Wall).
The pub is then to the left of the gates.

Cripps Computing Centre, University Park, Nottingham

From J25 of the M1, take the A52 towards Nottingham.
After passing the large roundabout with the Grand Prix style traffic lights, continue on the A52 until the next roundabout, by the Priory Hotel.
Go straight over, coming down from 3 to 1 lane.
Go right round the next roundabout and take the slip road into the University Campus immediately on the left (the North Entrance).
After passing the checkpoint, turn left then right, down the hill to the car park at the bottom.
The Cripps Computing Centre North Building is the one you have just passed on your right, with the glass walkway and pyramidal top.
