Rutger Beijderwellen won the Western Championship

[<<] [>>] by Elizabeth Williams at Parkstone
2nd May 2006 (AC - Championships)

The two 2-ball games in the final were hugely entertaining, especially when Marcus ran 1-back and 2-back in the same stroke, roqueted Rutger at 3-back and finished!

There was one fourth turn finish, fifth turn finishes aplenty, every peeling turn from single to sextuple (should have been septuple but some donkey failed to peg-out!) Rutger thoroughly deserved his win, as did Samir in the plate.

The lawns were pretty easy. It would certainly have been more challenging if lawns three and four had been used(!), as to these untrained eyes they looked some way short of being playable.
