National Club Competitions - manager's note

The 2006 National Club Competitions have (almost) reached the semi-final stages. The Finals Weekend is to be held at Surbiton on 30 September / 1 October.

Inter-Club: Surbiton are to play Wrest Park, and Bristol meet Colchester.

Mary Rose (quarter-finals due to be completed by 20th August): Colchester will meet Pendle & Craven, and Bristol play Woking or Hurlingham.

Secretary's Shield: Shrewsbury meet Blewbury, and Canterbury meet Beverley.

Longman Cup is at the Regional Final stage, the winners of these four ties travelling to Surbiton for Finals Weekend. First Semi-Final will be between these winners: NORTH & MIDLANDS: Bury v Pendle & Craven; SOUTH-WEST & WALES: Blewbury v High Wycombe. Second Semi-Final will be between these winners: EAST & LONDON: Parsons Green v Norwich; SOUTH & SOUTH-EAST: Medway v Surbiton.

Venues for the matches before the Finals Weekend have yet to be determined, depending on previous history between the clubs in the particular competition.
