The National Garden Croquet Classic has now reached the National Final Stage, to be held at Blewbury CC, Oxford on the 15th September. Two successful regional finals were held at Nottingham and Sussex County Croquet Clubs. Thanks to all those who gave the competitors such an enjoyable experience.

Garden Classic North Regional Final

This event was held at Nottingham on a glorious fine sunny day and enjoyed by all and was played as a 6-round flexible swiss.

First was William Wheeler with 5 wins, next was George Houghton with 4.5 wins and third was Jonathan Floyd with 4. In fourth place, in case you need another, was Tim Beaumont with 3 wins.

Garden Croquet Classic South Regional Final

It was a very overcast day at Southwick but apart from a heavy shower during the first round the 6 rounds were completed without interruption from the elements.

The standard of play throughout the event was high. The competitors appeared to have a most enjoyable day and the members of Sussex County Croquet Club very much enjoyed hosting the event. Two referees/coaches were on hand to help the competitors.
