New Tournament Regulations

The CA Tournament Committee is pleased to announce the publication of the 2008 Tournament Regulations, which come into force on 15 March 2008.

The principal changes are:

• Modification to the regulation on late withdrawal from a tournament, requiring players to inform the manager and their scheduled or current opponent as soon as they become aware of their inability to complete the event.
• A regulation to confirm that the optional law (for balls bigger than hoops) contained within the new amendments to the laws of croquet will be implemented for tournaments within the CA Domain.
• New guidance to managers about the format of tie-breaks after all other advertised criteria have been exhausted.

There have been less substantial changes to the definition of Championships, the doping regulation and the impasse regulation.
