CA Welcomes WCF Egypt v Rest of World Match

The World Croquet Federation has arranged a match between Egypt and a Rest of the World team. The match will be played at Roehampton Club on Saturday and Sunday August 9th and 10th. This match promises to bring together 12 of the best croquet players in the world including six who have been winners of world championships. The two teams will be announced shortly by the WCF.
Jonathan Isaacs, Chairman of The Croquet Association, said: "we are delighted that the WCF have arranged this match, so that players in this country will be able to watch some top-class golf croquet and benefit from seeing the skills on display."
Spectators are very welcome. Further details for spectators will be announced shortly by the WCF.
Play will start each day at 9.30am. John Spiers is the Manager of the Event and Abdul Ahmed is referee of the tournament. It is hoped to produce a DVD of the event.
