Robert Fulford Won the Colchester Open Weekend

The format was a Swiss with the top four, Robert Fulford, Keith Aiton, Rutger Beijderwellen and David Maugham completing their mini 'block' by the end of the weekend. Fulford beat the other three with the remaining games shared.

No one else managed to beat these four but Jim Field of Bath club, playing in this event for the first time, notched four wins including victories over Johnathan Hills and Andrew Gregory to earn a handicap reduction from 1.5 to 1.
