Alan Edwards won Woking's first B-class advanced level tournament which was held on 23-24 April 2009, with 16 entrants and a handicap range from 1 to 8.

Collin Southern came second. Collin and Alan won five games out of six without playing each other, and the tie was resolved by a quality-of-wins calculation.
