The B level advanced tournament at Ramsgate was won by Chris Donovan on 5th-6th sept. Anthony Dix was runner up.

There were seven players (One dropped out at the last minute) in this American style tournament. Four matches were played on the first day and three on the second with each person sitting out once.

Only one match was pegged out on the Saturday evening due to poor light, and Dennis Shaw was kept busy both as manager and referee.

The sun shone, at times, and the wind was relatively light for Ramsgate. The lunches were delicious and hospitality was first class with bread pudding and coffee being served up on arrival

Chris won all his matches, and Anthony was only beaten by Chris, but the tightest game was between Anthony Dix and Terry Sparks (+1). Both balls at opposite ends of the court, after a referee's decision that Anthony had not got a wiring lift, he rolled up to the peg and Terry missed the hit in.
