Mick Haytack won the Hurlingham Mid Week Veterans Tournament

Eighteen veterans enjoyed a three-day advanced handicap tournament at Hurlingham from 13-15 September with only one shower to dampen the proceedings.

Eight slightly younger veterans played an American block with Mick Haytack from Ashby the winner with sic wins out of seven and Peter Siddall runner up also with six wins out of seven but having lost to Mick Haytack.

The older veterans played a six-round Swiss with Richard Wainman (Cheltenham) winning having won all of his six matches; Jeane Ackermann (Nottingham) was runner up with five wins out of six.
