Robert Fulford won the Western Championship

Robert Fulford beat Pete Trimmer 3-0 in their best of five final at the Western Championships at Parkstone in the 16th turn of the match. Both players came back from a game down in their best of three semi finals against David Goacher and David Openshaw respectively.

In the quarter final David Openshaw had an Openshavian +2tp win in the third against the new look, much slimmer, second seed David Maugham. David Openshaw has been famous in the past for winning by a few points in the third.
