Channel Islands unable to raise a team for the Inter-Counties, Avon promoted

Unfortunately Channel Islands are unable to raise a team for the Inter-Counties Championship and have withdrawn. The following arrangements will therefore be put in place.

The team that finished third from the bottom in the first division last year and should have been relegated will be reinstated in the first division and will take all the fixtures allocated to the Channel Islands. This was Avon. A CA Select team will take the place of Avon in the second division and will take Avon's published fixtures.

Any player who wishes to play in the CA Select team should contact Bill Arliss at bill.arliss_AT_ntlworld.com or on 01273 728204 and your names will be passed on to the nominated captain of the CA Select team.

Will all county organisers please pass this information on to players who are interested in playing in Counties but you cannot accommodate in your teams. Playing for the CA Select team will in no way affect a player's right to play for another county for which he is eligible in future years.
