Cambridge won the 2002 Varsity match

The 2002 Varsity match between Oxford and Cambridge Universities was held on June 20th at the Hurlingham Club.

The match was won 6-3 by Cambridge who retain the Frank Cooper Bowl. This was Cambridge's sixth successive win but much closer than recent years when the Cambridge team has included Aaron Westerby, Jonathan Kirby, Sam Tudor and Ben Elwell. Only Ben will remain by 2003 so Oxford are more hopeful of finally getting their hands on the trophy.
