Draw for The British Open Championships

There have been 30 entries for the Opens this year, and 12 for the Open Doubles. The format for the singles will be 3 blocks of 10 followed by a best of three knockout. The doubles will remain as a best of three knockout throughout. The blocks for the singles are:

Block A

Aiton
Bamford
Beijderwellen
Cordingley
Dawson
Death
Dyer
Guest
Mulliner
Patmore

Block B

Avery
Farthing
Goacher
Heap
Kirby
Maugham
Mundy
Southern
Tibble
Vincent

Block C

Clarke
Coles
Gibbons
Hort
Irwin
Kibble
Morrow
Noble
Openshaw
Wilkins

Blocks A & B will be required at 10am on Sunday. Block C contains the players who requested leave on Sunday, as well as the members of the Test team playing the Irish over the weekend. As a consequence there will be very few (if any) games from block C played on Sunday.

Those winning at least half of their block games will proceed into a best of three (or more) knockout.
