Challenge and Gilbey Results

The Tournament started with the Handicap Knock-Out for the Gilbey Goblet.
There were three low handicap players in the semi-finals: Phil Cordingley, Nigel Polhill and Philip Windred together with Phil Dunk H/C 5.
Phil Dunk beat Phil Cordingley and Nigel beat Philip.
In the Final Phil Dunk won +22.
The consolation event was won by Chris Coull.
The Class Event started after lunch on Friday with entries restricted to 28 ( as 4 more lawns were being renovated ) it was fully subscribed. There was a good low handicap entry with 9 players having a handicap of scratch or below.
In Division A for the Roehampton Cup there were 2 American Blocks. The Block winners were: Tim Russell 5/5 and Sam Murray 4/5. In the Best of Three Final Sam won +16, +25 Luc Berthouze and Dave Mundy - 5/7 won the consolation Flexible Swiss.
Division B for the Council Cup was won by Liz Farrow 5/6 - the runner-up was Philip Windred 3/6.
Division C for the Reckitt Cup was won by Phil Dunk 4/5 - the runner-up was Chris Coull 3/5.
Division D for the Stevenson Cup was won By Quiller Barrett 4/5 - the runner-up was Frances Colman 3/5.
Quiller Barrett presented the trophies. He thanked Sussex County CC for hosting the event.
