Sidmouth C-Level Advanced Tournament Report

12 Players from as far afield as Cambridgeshire, Herefordshire, Cornwall, Somerset and Wiltshire joined local players for Sidmouth's C Level Advanced Play weekend Tournament. The tournament had been fully subscribed but for the late withdrawal of 4 players, mainly due to illness.

Sidmouth's Jon Ball won the Connaught Cup with 6 wins out of 6. For Jon, who has only being playing for just over 2 years, this was his first CA Tournament.

In second place was David Clarke ( Sidmouth) 4/6

Equal third were: Kathy Wallace ( Nailsea ), Alan Rush ( Budleigh Salterton ) and
Ian Friedlander ( Sidmouth) all 4/7

Players relaxed on Saturday evening when they adjourned to a local hotel for dinner.
