I have the great pleasure in congratulating the following players who have been selected to join the England AC Squad 2019 and look forward to working with them to prepare and develop all aspects of their croquet for both individual and team events.

The England Squad will be invited to development and coaching sessions which will be funded by the CA. These events will include practicing and playing with the CA's Quadway Hoops, access to Professional Coaching and Mentoring along with Winter Training (Indoor and Outdoor) and Squad Discussion Forums.

Change of Policy

The CA International Committee have decided a change, in that the GB Squad will no longer exist, and instead will be forming the England Squad, with the primary objective being "to further the aims and achievements of England players and teams at international level". This was approved by the Management Committee. The Selection Committee have selected the England Squad players to reflect this and may select players to the England Squad as follows:

Any CA member is eligible for inclusion in the squad, and selection of the squad by the AC Selectors is based on the primary objective.

England AC Squad Head Coach: Samir Patel

I have appointed Samir Patel as the head coach to provide the Squad with someone to discuss their development and lead coaching and development sessions.

GB Top Players Mailing List

This email list will continue to be a discussion forum for all Top GB players within the CA, this will be for the development of all 'top players' eligible to play for GB and who have a Max DG of over 2100 from the past 12 months. Samir Patel and myself as IPD will be encouraging players to use this as a forum to help them develop, discuss tactics and ask advice. This also aims to provide a platform for aspiring players who have completed their two years in the IPDS but do not yet achieve the new (tougher) criteria for the England Squad.

I have also been informed that it is likely the England MAC Squad will be selected in Winter 2019.
