This is David Goacher's first ever completed sextuple peel in a ranking game, which I assume is probably a record both in terms of number of years and games between first ranking game and first sextuple. I haven't checked, but I suspect it also means James Galpin replaces David as the currently highest ranked player not to have a sextuple recorded in the rankings.

Despite being a 'ladies' sextuple, he required a straight double to finish, which included his rover peel attempt finishing in the jaws with striker's ball in contact, allowing him to complete the peel with a pseudo croquet stroke (which would of course been a fault had the balls not been in contact). Even then he mishit the rush to the peg and had an eight yard peg out.
