President appeals to replenish reserves for continued development of the game

You will I am sure be aware that this Association has had to move its office from Hurlingham, because of the redevelopment of their east wing, which will not allow space for the CA office.

After much deliberation of a number of possibilities, Council has approved that a new, purpose-built office will be created at the Cheltenham Croquet Club, where sufficient space is available. Although not very central, the office is basically an administrative centre and relatively few visitors come to the office, even when it was at Hurlingham. Council meetings will probably be held at a location in London.

The costs of the new office are more than £50,000, which the association can meet out of its various funds. However, in recent years the CA has been able to help Federations and clubs with funds for coaching, development and lawn improvements and we would like to continue to assist our member clubs in such ways. In order to top up our reserves it has been agreed that an appeal will be made to all Individual Associate Members to achieve this.

I am therefore writing personally to you to ask if you would consider making a donation towards these costs. I would be most grateful for your support, which will be acknowledged and I hope that we may hear from you on the form below in the near future. I feel sure you will wish to support your association to the best of your ability.
