Reg Bamford won The Coles Championship

The Coles Championship was held at Cheltenham, 3rd-5th May. Reg Bamford won it, an in form David Magee was second, Jonathan Kirby was third and David Nicholson was fourth. The plate was won by Jed Allen.

I don't have the scores to post, but the crowd were disappointed in the last game of the final. Reg layed for an octuple, but David hit the ball in the jaws of 5. Reg later finished with another sextuple.

The front lawns were heavy, with the grass quite long but David Magee promised that they'd be in better condition for the Opens.
