Roehampton beat East Dorset in what ended up as a tight contest, after taking a 3-0 lead from the morning session. East Dorset won the last three singles, two at the golden hoop in the deciding game, to leave a respectable score line. Despite heavy overnight rain, the lawns were extremely quick, with a strong wind in the afternoon adding to the difficulty.
