Michael Bithell won the Newport B-Class

Michael Bithell won 4 out of 5 games to win the Newport B-Class.

His only loss came when he went round to the peg with his forward ball, and Andrew Gregory was subsequently able to peg him out.

Even then Michael had a chance. Starting at hoop 4 he two-balled round the ladies' mile, but then missed a 7-yarder after 1-back, which would have given him a 3-ball break.

The dinner was at a local Indian, which was good but unlicensed. My first dry Saturday at a tournament for a while!
