[<<] [>>] by Chris Williams
28th July 2003 (International)

Sam Tudor won his first Welsh Championship title when he defeated Chris Williams in straight games, both with triples, in yesterday afternoon's final. The triple in the second game was a 6th turn one and the whole match was over in two and a quarter hours. 10 players participated in the event.

For the first time in the 13 years the event has been played it was affected by heavy rain on both of the first two days. Thankfully the final day reverted to type, with almost unbroken sunshine.
