18th May (AC - Handicap)

There were 9 entries for the Spring weekend handicap. Al Brown, the manager, managed to find various players to make the numbers up to 10 .

Entries were mainly from Essex, with some from Hunstanton and Tunbridge Wells. The handicaps ranged from 4 to 22 with the matches arranged to level up the range to reduce a picket fence situation.

There were two winners each winning all 4 of their games, Fiona McCoig (8) from Frinton and Colchester and Derek Code (22) from Old Brentwoods . There was a Nottingham play-off: each had 2 balls and starting from corner 4 rushed to hoop 4 to make as many hoops as possible. Derek made hoop 4 , Fiona made 4 and 5 and was awarded the John Foreman trophy, newly rediscovered and polished.
