The match was played at Crake Valley Croquet Valley, located in the village of Greenodd in the South Lakes area of the Lake District.
A warm and sunny day on the lawns.

In the first round, doubles, the Crake pairing of Jim and Helen Allcock played Tony Thomas and Bill Nicholl from Southport.

Southport +1.

In the singles, Paul Galley from Crake Valley played David Venables of Southport.
Paul winning 20 - 6.

The next singles saw Rob Callingham of Crake Valley play Eddie Green from Southport.
Rob winning 17 - 12.

In the following singles the results as follows:

Rob Callingham lost to David Venables 22 - 6.

Jim Allcock won 24 - 20 against Bill Nicholl.

Paul Galley won 26 - 3 against Tony Thomas.

Helen Allcock lost to Eddie Green 22 - 7.

Final result Crake Valley won 4 - 3.
