Chris Williams won the Birdseye Salver for the fifth time in six years at the Budleigh Salterton June midweek 2-day AC tournament. Chris had two very close wins beating Tim Jolliff by 3tp and Stuart M Smith +1tp.

Stuart missed the peg out when Chris was 1 and 4 back leaving Chris a 10 yarder to get going. Chris thought he would be clever and peg out one of Stuart's balls to have the classic +1tp. It was nearly a disaster when he over hit the pegging out of Stuart's ball and his own ball missed the peg to the side by about half an inch. Chris's only loss was to an improving Stephen Allen.

Andrew Meikle and Christine Rice (both East Dorset) tied the B block with four wins out of five. Andrew was awarded first place on the who beat whom principle.

Rick Lilley (Phyllis Court) was a convincing winner of the C block with five wins out of five.
