MacRobertson Shield Day 8 - Round 2 The Dark Knight

Our second day at Southwick was a second round of doubles. With the watering now off, the lawns were a little quicker than yesterday.

The US team had the first opportunities in two games, with Jack and Rob showing the way with a tidy +26 win. And got to a good start in game 2 before lunch intervened. The other two matches were more interactive, with England and the US sharing one game each at lunch.

Tom Balding and Zack Watson got close in game 2, but eventually all matches continued the pattern of game 1, with 2-0 results in each, including a nice TP by Matt Essick against Samir & James.

2-1 on the day for England, and 4-2 overall in the test.

As we left, there were two matches in the New Zealand v Australia test still in play, and the incomplete doubles match from yesterday was being put back onto lawn 9. We can tell from the excellent livestreaming that they're still playing as we write this, and the night is getting dark.
