MacRobertson Shield Day 12 - England on the move

[<<] [>>] by England Team at Surbiton
4th August (The MacRobertson Shield)

Today the teams travelled back to London for the final test of the 2026 MacRobertson Shield, to take place at Surbiton Croquet Club.

It is suspected that conditions will be more difficult again even if the lawns are slightly slower to start with. The hoops and the bobbly nature of the lawns will provide the biggest challenge.

A few changes in the bronze medal match, James Carlisle (was a non-playing manager before) steps in for an injured Australian player and the Americans have changed 2 of their doubles pairs.

All to play for England and New Zealand in their winner takes all test. Both teams fairly comfortably beat the other 2 countries (the only difference was England beat USA by 1 more match win - 15/6 and 14/7 respectively).

England are looking to win the Mac for 17th time (and retain it), New Zealand for the 5th.
