Croquet England's incoming Executive team is pleased to confirm the appointment of Chairs for its standing committees. The appointments are as follows:
Growth and Grass Roots
Funding Committee - Sarah Andrew
Coaching Committee - John Harris (Interim)
Play
Tournament Committee - Samir Patel
Handicap Committee - Bridget Goodman
Performance
Selection Committee - Chris Clarke
International Committee - Aston Wade
Referees (Laws and Rules) Committee - Ian Vincent
The Executive team is excited to work with the new Chairs and their committees. We thank outgoing Chairs Ian Lines, Stephen Mulliner, Jeff Dawson, Jonathan Powe, Richard Bilton, Chris Roberts, Ruth Raunkiaer and Duncan Catterall for the huge commitment and support they have shown Croquet England over many years. The recruitment process resulted in receiving 15 expressions of interest, for Chair positions, across the seven standing committees within the new structure.
We are grateful to John Harris for serving as interim Chair of the Coaching Committee while the review of our approach to coach education and coaching is undertaken.
The committee Chairs will now work with their respective Heads Ian Draper, Ian Burridge and Rich Waterman to appoint their committee members. The committee appointments will be confirmed following this year's Annual General Meeting.
Two additional appointments confirmed in our refreshed structure are Ian Longstaff and Paul Chard, who will lead our special projects on Wellbeing and Youth Development respectively.
We look forward to implementing our new structure and achieving in-line with our 'More Croquet' strategy.
