Eastbourne was bathed in glorious sunshine throughout for Compton's Spring handicap weekend played as a Swiss with sixteen players. Eugene Chang from Bath, on his first visit to the club, emerged the winner edging out local member Jill Carpenter and Medway's Christopher Dashwood, returning to Compton after a gap of 40 years!
