Nottingham beat Nailsea 4-3

Nottingham beat Nailsea 4-3 in the first round of the Secretary's Shield. The visiting Nottingham side took a 3-0 lead after the morning games, coming out on top in two very close singles games that could have gone either way. In the afternoon, Nailsea came back strongly but Nottingham held on to claim the one win needed to clinch the tie. Nottingham will now play Middlesbrough in the quarter-finals of the competition.
